The Trinidad and Tobago Kennel Club is the only internationally recognized dog registry in Trinidad and Tobago. It was founded in 1954 as the Caribbean Kennel Club, and later changed its name to The Trinidad and Tobago Kennel Club in 1981, not only is the club under the patronage the president of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago, but has a reciprocal agreement with The Kennel Club of the United Kingdom

NOTICE TO ALL BREEDERS

REGISTRATION OF KENNEL NAME (AFFIX)
The Trinidad & Tobago Kennel Club (TTKC) advises all breeders that, effective 1st October 2026, every breeder using a Kennel Name (Affix) on TTKC-registered litters must have that Affix registered with the TTKC. Existing Affixes: Breeders who currently use an Affix that has previously been accepted or recorded by the TTKC must ensure that the Affix is formally registered with the TTKC in accordance with the new requirements. Existing Affixes will not automatically be considered registered unless they have been confirmed and recorded as such by the TTKC. From 1st October 2026: Only registered TTKC Kennel Affixes may be used on TTKC-registered litters and pedigrees. An unregistered Affix will not be accepted for the registration of new litters or the issuance of pedigrees. Breeders with existing Affixes are encouraged to regularize their registration before 1st October 2026 to avoid delays or rejection of registrations.
